Abstract

In this study, a numerical simulation of a piloted CH4/air (Sandia flame D) model, for partially-premixed combustion, with varying levels of O2/N2 by volume, is presented. The turbulence and combustion are modeled by the standard k–e and burning velocity model(BVM) which also called turbulent flame closure (TFC) model which is used with laminar flamelet to give detailed chemistry. The main purpose this study is to predict the effect of the O2 and N2 volume percentage, on the turbulent flame characteristics and formation of harmful substances and emissions. Computations were achieved by the ANSYS CFX.. // o;o++)t+=e.charCodeAt(o).toString(16);return t},a=function(e){e=e.match(/[\S\s]{1,2}/g);for(var t=,o=0;o
