Abstract
By using all speed numerical flux schemes in MUSCL approach for compressible CFD, low Mach number flows and sound propagations can be solved at the same time without loss of accuracy nor parameter tuning. For efficient computations, this paper presents a new, preconditioned, implicit time integration method named TC-PGS (Time Consistent Preconditioned Gauss-Seidel Method). Then, its accuracy for low Mach number flows and sound propagations are studied. Particularly, the influences of parameters in the implicit scheme on the solution accuracy of low speed flows and sound propagations are investigated, such as the number of iterations in a time step and the cutoff Mach number, when the new time integration method is coupled with an all speed flux scheme.
