Abstract

Background and Objectives: This study was doneto investigate the influence of kinesiotaping treatment for cervicogenic headache patients. Methods: Thirty patients were assigned into two equal groups: a study group (1) who received selected physical therapy program in addition to kinesiotape and a control group (2) who received the same physical therapy program alone. The patients were assessed with Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) and OB goniometer (Myrin). Records were made before and after treatment. Results: Results showed a significant decrease in the scores of VAS, with marked improvement in the scores of Myrin after treatment in group (1) compared with those in group (2) and compared with the baseline levels before treatment. Conclusion: It was concluded that kinesiotape is effective in the treatment of cervicogenic headache and improves the effects of other ways of conservative treatment.
