Abstract
220 patients of cervical lymphadenopathy were studied. Incidence of tubercular lymphnoditis was found to be 56.22 percent. Reactive hyperplasia (9.09%) constituted an important Group which on follow up study revealed deep seated lymphoma in 4 cases and carcinoma in two cases. Non-specific inflammation was seen in 5.47 percent cases. Metastatic carcinoma and lymphoma were diagnosed in 18.18 percent and 9.09 percent cases respectively, It is suggested in the present study that in cases of reactive lymph node hyperplasia, earnest search for a primary lesion should always be made.
