Abstract

To present two successful pregnancy results following cervical cerclage before blastocyst transfer in patients who had cryopreserved ET and in whom cervical insufficiency was diagnosed. Case report. Assisted reproduction unit in a university hospital. Two patients with infertility and cervical insufficiency. Both patients signed informed consent. Cervical cerclage before blastocyst transfer. Pregnancy and birth. Both women achieved pregnancy after transfer of a single, high-quality blastocyst and gave birth to a healthy infant. Cervical cerclage can be performed before blastocyst transfer in patients with cervical insufficiency who undergo cryopreserved ET. The procedure is especially relevant to patients in whom the cervical os is dilated and the distal cervical segment is short. Transfer of a single, high-quality blastocyst can result in pregnancy and birth.
