Abstract
The basic priorities for the further improvement of the communist upbringing of children and youth and the prospects for the development of the general education school have been set by decisions of [Communist Party] congresses, by the Communist Party Program, and by the most important decrees of the Party and the Soviet government on the school. At the Twenty-Fourth Congress of the CPSU, a deep and comprehensive analysis was made of social and scientific and technological progress under the conditions of developed socialism and urgent tasks were posed for economic growth, social and political policies, and the further strengthening of the world socialist system.
