Abstract

The article covers analytical research of the performance of the pads of the friction clutch of the sewing machine. The results of research showed that the wear resistance of the pads decreases with increasing temperature. The wear resistance of pads made of different materials tested on the same type of friction clutch of sewing machine is different. The research has been carried out to determine the maximum value of the specific work of slipping and thermal impulse which determines the characteristics of the temperature field of the friction pair which significantly affects the wear resistance of the friction interface. The wear resistance of friction clutches which are one of the main characteristics that determine the reliability and durability of the friction assembly has been studied.
