Abstract

Recent developments in Cherenkov counter techniques as applied to the physics research at high-energy accelerators are reviewed. Topics discussed include general problems associated with the detection of Cherenkov radiation, threshold Cherenkov counters, differential Cherenkov counters, comparisons of threshold and differential Cherenkov counters, and pattern recognition in a focusing Cherenkov counter.
