Abstract

s EVERE cerebral hemorrhage is not rare in eclampsia. Dieckmann4 and Hammond6 noted that a compilation of reports indicated that extensive cerebral hemorrhage is found in 15 to 20 per cent of the autopsies in eclampsia. The following case of a fatal cerebral hemorrhage in a postpartum eclamptic patient is reported because the insidious onset of the disease and lack of prominent clinical symptoms created diagnostic difficulties.
