Abstract

A 49-year-old Caucasian female presented with complicated migraines. She was subsequently diagnosed with cerebral autosomal dominant arteriopathy with subcortical infarcts and leukoencephalopathy (CADASIL), a genetic disorder of the cerebral blood vessels caused by mutations in the NOTCH3 gene. The diagnosis was confirmed by genetic testing. Here, we report her case as well as briefly review the typical clinical course, neuroimaging, and pathogenesis of CADASIL.
