Abstract

Cerebellar nucleo-cortical neurons projecting to lobule VII vermis in the rat are located in the caudal fastigial nucleus (FN) and in the white matter ventral to the intracerebellar nuclei. The cortico-nuclear and nucleo-cortical projections of lobule VII vermis are only in part reciprocal; nucleo-cortical neurons in the dorsolateral protuberance (dlp) of the FN and ventral to the more lateral cerebellar nuclei, may serve to relate the cerebellar hemispheres to the vermis.
