Abstract
A description of the technique of ceramic restoration employed at the Victoria and Albert Museum is given, and the problems involved are assessed. The various processes are discussed in the order in which they would normally occur, covering the breaking down of old repairs, bonding and the adhesives used, through to the final retouching of the object. A recent method of displaying large panels of tiles is also discussed.
