Abstract

The influence of gradient gravity field on the distribution of colloid particles in magnetic fluid placed in a long narrow cylinder is explored experimentally. The dependence of the initial magnetic susceptibility on the layer depth is measured for different times of exposure to the gradient field. The average diameter of an aggregate is estimated using the obtained results.
