Abstract

The present article covers the results of theoretical and experimental studies into the purification of produced water (wastewater) by means of centrifugal separation technology using a disk stack centrifuge. When produced water obtained during crude oil treatment is reinjected to maintain reservoir pressure, it is necessary to reduce the content of mechanical particles and oil in this water. For these purposes, the centrifugal technology of water purification enabling the removal of suspended solids and oil particles can be more effective than gravitational settling.
