Abstract
Using light and scanning electron microscopy centric diatoms were investigated from paleolakes of the Barguzin, Tunkinskaya valleys and Vitim Plateau. Representatives of Aulacoseira, Actinocyclus, Alveolophora, Pseudoaulacoseira and Concentrodiscus were common and widespread. The greatest similarity in species composition of diatoms was found between the paleo-lakes of the Barguzin Valley and the Vitim Plateau.
