Abstract

Subject. This article discusses the issues of ensuring balanced socio-economic development at the local level. Objectives. The article aims to develop a methodology for classifying municipal districts according to the level of social development. Methods. For the study, I used the methods of mathematical analysis. Results. Based on the analysis of indicators for the period 2010–2021, the article divides the Central regions of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) into three clusters. Most of the districts are included in the second cluster, corresponding to the average level of social development. This indicates that there are insignificant differences in social development indicators between the Central regions of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Relevance. The developed classification and ranking help obtain additional data necessary for adjusting the programmes of social development of territories.
