Abstract
Science centres are an important element of the cultural and educational landscape of modern world. Their role is changing. Due to the diverse activities of these centres, they are of interest to academics and experts from many disciplines. Their classification stands at the border of education and culture, non-profit and for-profit and this makes them especially interesting. The goal of the paper is to present the role of science centres in the current COVID-19 pandemic.
