Abstract

We examine the potential to probe generalized neutrino interactions (GNI), exotic effective couplings due to new physics interactions beyond the Standard Model, in the coherent-elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering experiments in light of the latest COHERENT-CsI, and -LAr data. Our analysis focuses on scalar, vector and tensor flavored-GNI parameters. A combined analysis has been made to constrain these exotic couplings for the CsI and LAr detector. We further add the projected forthcoming reactor-based Scintillating Bubble Chamber detector to examine these couplings. It has been observed that the addition of reactor data strongly constrained electron flavor GNI.

Summary

INTRODUCTION

With the confirmation that neutrinos possess nonzero masses and their different flavors are mixed from different phenomenal neutrino oscillations experiments, neutrino physics has entered in the era of precision measurements [1]. We are interested to investigate the impact of these exotic interactions in the coherent-elastic neutrino-nucleus scattering (CEνNS) experiments. These modify the SM effective couplings and eventually change the measurements of the SM weak-interaction differential cross section. The CEνNS, an allowed SM process, was originally proposed in the early 1970s [16,17], and it was first detected in 2017 by the COHERENT collaboration using cesium-iodide (CsI) detector [18] at 6.7σ significance They recently published their latest measurements using the same detector [19] and reported 306 Æ 20 CEνNS events, which are consistent with the SM predictions of 341 Æ 11ðtheoryÞ Æ 42ðexptÞ events at 1σ. In this work, motivated by the latest COHERENT measurements a combined analyses of the CsI and LAr data are made in order to examine GNI parameters. In Appendices A and B we briefly discuss about the parametrization of GNI parameters as well as different approaches of χ2 analysis for the LAr detector, respectively
