Abstract

Abstract Multizone selective production testing of a gas well is a time consuming and costly operation. A Khuff formation is a High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) and high flow rate gas reservoir with the presence of H2S and CO2. Traditionally, the multizone zone selective production testing operations for Khuff gas wells were performed using conventional methods. The use of Coiled Tubing (CT) on Khuff gas wells was limited only to displacing wells to diesel prior perforating the Khuff reservoir. This paper describes ADMA-OPCO experience to utilize a High Pressure Coiled Tubing (HPCT) package for the first time in Abu Dhabi and Offshore the Arabian Gulf to perform the different operations involved in the multizone selective production testing of a gas well with the objectives of safely reducing the operating time and costs.
