Abstract
In this article, Karbala event which has an important place in the Islamic history has been studied with its reflection on Journal of Cem, one of the leading periodicals of Alawis who mourn in Karbala’s anniversary, mourning along with Muharram fast. It is found that the approaches to the Karbala are emotionally and that use of the written sources is scanty and some serious contradictions might be observed dealing with the historical events as well as the approaches to them.
