Abstract
The Venezia Station on the Milan Rail Link is being constructed using a novel technique to cope with drawbacks such as unconsolidated ground and the presence of old foundations. This article discusses the planning aspects of the project, the cellular arch, excavation of Venezia Station, excavation of the thrust pit, and controls and measurements of the excavation.
