Abstract

The development of material science has boosted the advances in diagnosis and treatment of diseases. In recent years, cell membrane coating technology has provided a new platform for the development of medical materials, which can be utilized to bestow nanoparticles with enhanced biointerfacing capabilities. The cell membrane display technology developed on this basis has precisely improved and endowed the material with specific biological functions. The present review article introduces the concept of an emerging platform: cell membrane display technology. The definition, classification, theoretical basis and practical preparation process of cell membrane nanotechnology were discussed in detail. The application scenarios and further development prospects of the technology in the medical field were also analyzed.
