Abstract

(Abstracted from Am J Obstet Gynecol 2023;228(1):76.e1–76.e10) Congenital heart defects (CHDs) are one of the leading causes of child morbidity and mortality. Previous research has shown that prenatal detection of CHD can significantly reduce the risk of death for severe cases, yet the current techniques available for prenatal diagnosis detect approximately only half of cases.
