Abstract
In our study we hypothesized that the incidence of celiac disease could be higher in patients with PCOS. Although we found significantly higher ratio in these patients by measuring IgG antibodies we could not verify this result with duodenal biopsy. None of our patients was seropositive for IgA endomysium antibody and the sole positive result for IgG gliadin antibody might not warrant further investigation. We conclude that PCOS does not seem to be associated with celiac disease. (excerpt)
