Or which sessions you don’t want to miss? How about whom you should see while you are there? Push all those work thoughts aside and take a break to think of how to spend your time when you are not in the convention center.Start dreaming of sunshine or a brisk walk along the water. Start planning for social time and fine dining. And be sure to mark your calendar for the American Psychiatric Association Foundation’s Annual Benefit, to be held this year on Saturday, May 20, from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the San Diego Wine and Culinary Event Center. Not only is the benefit one of the most popular events at the Annual Meeting each year, but this year it’s particularly special: the Foundation will be celebrating its 25th anniversary! Foodies will delight in gourmet hors d’oeurves, while wine lovers will savor some of the best new wines and blends. Dessert and entertainment included! The San Diego Wine and Culinary Event Center features a spacious patio where guests can enjoy the pleasant evening weather while spending time with friends. And the venue is convenient, just steps away from the San Diego Convention Center and the Gaslamp Quarter. The Foundation, which is the charitable arm of APA, holds a benefit each year to raise funds to support public education on psychiatry and mental health, as well as professional grants, fellowships, and awards.
