Abstract

The temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity, thermal conductivity, thermopower and specific heat of CeCu5 will be presented. CeCu5 behaves as a Kondo lattice system with magnetic ground state properties (transition temperature ≈3.9 K). The valency of Ce in this hexagonal compound is close to 3 and the overall crystal field splitting estimated from our results is about 200 K.
