Abstract
cDNA encoding the β1 subunit of guanyl nucleotide binding regulatory proteins was isolated from a mouse adrenal cDNA library. The coding region was 90% identical to human and bovine β1 at the cDNA level and 100% identical at the protein level. In the 5′ untranslated region, two sequence variants were isolated that differed by the presence or absence of a 49 base pair insert presumed to arise from alternative splicing.
