Abstract

Cellular immunity plays a major role in tumor immunity, and the immune responses per-formed by T ceils are more important. Recently the role of CD4+ T cells in tumor immunity has been paid more and more attention. In tumor immunity CD4+ T cells can be actived. The aetived CD4+ T cells can active CTL via several mechanisms, the strived CD4+ T cells can maintain and enforce the anti-tumor response of CTL and play a central role in promoting and keeping CTL memory responses. Under some situations, CD4+ T cells can be effector T cells in anti-tumor immunity. There is a subpopuLation of T cells which express CD4 and CD25, this subpopulation of T cells are regulatory T cells(Treg). Treg can suppress anti-tumor immune response.
