Abstract
Recently, Tomioka Mill has completed the modernization of No. 9 peper machine & No. 9 coating machine, which was originally started in 1980.The existing headbox was replaced by the new concept IV headbox with the consistency profile control at No. 9 paper machine and the Coat Weight profile control system was installed at NO. 9 coater machine to improve the cross machine quality.This paper gives our operating experience of these profile control.
