Abstract

This study was conducted to identify and measure the factors affecting the decision-making to choose Bac Lieu university of economics students. The data was collected through direct survey results from 230 students of the Economics Faculty of Bac Lieu University. Through qualitative and quantitative analysis, the study shows that there are seven factors affecting the decision to choose a school of economics students, including: school characteristics, teaching quality, relatives, personal characteristics, matriculation opportunities, career prospects, media promotion. After evaluating the reliability of the scale by Cronbach’s alpha coefficient and conducting exploratory factor analysis, there were 7 extracted factor components and the factors remained the same compared to the research model and had been suggested previously. Calculating the average value shows that the factor of personal characteristics is number 1, followed by relatives, media promotion, matriculation opportunities , career prospects, school characteristics and finally teaching quality.
