AbstractProperty, Real Estate & Development (MIC: 8.3 SIC: 6798 NAIC: 525930)CBL & Associates Properties is a self‐managed, self‐administered, fully‐integrated real estate investment trust that is engaged in the ownership, development, acquisition, leasing, management and operation of regional shopping malls and community centers. Co.'s shopping center properties are located in 27 states, mainly in the southeastern and midwestern U.S. As of Dec 31 2006, Co. owned controlling interests in 72 regional malls (including large open‐air centers), 27 associated centers (each adjacent to a regional mall), four community centers, and its corporate office building, as well as non‐controlling interests in seven regional malls, four associated centers and one community center.
