Abstract
In this work, water entry developments of smooth sphere and golf ball were investigated using particle image velocimetry (PIV). Through the attempts of use of PIV, velocity contour plots were generated. PIV results were compared to raw images of water entry profiles and challenges with regard to experimental errors were discussed.
