Abstract

Total hip arthroplasty (THA) is the treatment of choice for advanced-stage osteoarthritis or other hip disorders with high successful rates. Over time, however, a hip replacement can fail for a variety of reasons. In this paper the authors describe the diagnosis and management of the most frequent causes of THA failure.
