Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the causal relationship among expectationvalue, deliberate practice and grit of high school Taekwondo players. To this end, high school Taekwondo athletes residing in Seoul and Gyeonggi area were selected, and 350 people were selected as the population. Data from 37 of the collected data were excluded due to inconsistent responses. Therefore, the data of 313 people was used for a final analysis. For the collected data, confirmatory factor analysis, descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and structural equation analysis were performed using jamovi 1.1 and AMOS 23.0 programs. The following results. First, expectation of success was found to had a positive (+) effect on deliberate practice. second, subjective value had a positive (+) effect on deliberate practice. Third, deliberate practice was found to had a positive (+) effect on grit. fourth, expectation of success was found to had a positive (+) effect on grit. fifth, subjective value was found to had a positive (+) effect on grit.
