Abstract
Information on several species of Cyaneolytta Peringuey, 1909 is presented in the form of an annotated catalog of specimens in the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales of Madrid. For the first time Cyaneolytta affinis (Haag-Rutenberg, 1880) and C. depressicornis costipennis Kaszab, 1953 are quoted from Kenya, C. episcopalis (Harold, 1878), C. gestroi (Haag-Rutenberg, 1880) and C. metasternalis (Fairmaire, 1888) from Tanzania, C. signifrons (Fahraeus, 1870) from the Congo Democratic Republic and C. suahela (Kolbe, 1898) from Zanzibar Island (Tanzania). A key to all species and subspecies of the genus is included.

Summary
El género Cyaneolytta fue descrito por Péringuey (1909); después Borchmann (1917) catalogó 38 especies, pero muchas de ellas se sinonimizaron más tarde y, cuando Kaszab (1953) revisó el género, redujo su número a 29 válidas. Las localidades de los ejemplares examinados corresponden a Tanzania (Uheheland Kidugala) los 4 primeros, a Kenya (JKurha) los 3 siguientes y a la República Democrática del Congo (Kasai) el último, por lo que éste es el primer registro para dicho país. La típica manchita rojiza de la frente (a veces reducida a un punto), el punteado denso de la cabeza y del pronoto, el tono morado de los élitros, las antenas de artejos no aplastados y la mancha anaranjada metasternal en forma de banda longitudinal estrecha, algo ensanchada hacia delante, les caracteriza suficientemente, coincidiendo con los datos aportados por la descripción original de la especie. Existe un ejemplar en la colección del Museo (Senegal Povela // MNCN_Ent No Cat. 73037) que no se pudo identificar a nivel de especie por estar muy deteriorado
