Abstract

Abstract UV-curable fluorine-containing polyacrylic epoxy prepolymers were prepared by solution free radical polymerization with n -butyl acrylate (BA), glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) and hexafluorobutyl acrylate (HFBA) as co-monomers.The prepolymers with different molecular weight and fluorine content could be photopolymerized with up to 70% epoxy group conversion after 10 min of UV irradiation. They showed satisfactory compatibility and could form homogeneous cured film with commercial photoinitiator and monomer, evidence with transmittance, mechanic and graphic analysis. Also, they exhibited very good surface tension as low as 24.38 dyn/cm and their glass transition temperature and thermo decomposition temperature raised with the increase of fluoro-content.
