Abstract
Cationic bis-carbene palladium acetate complexes are obtained by protonation of their neutral bis-acetate precursors and show fluxional behavior in solution, whereas the use of NaBArF24 generates unique sodium complexes instead. The cationic palladium species can undergo dimerization, which was proven by single-crystal X-ray analysis.
