Abstract

AbstractReactions of terminal alkynes (alkyl−C≡CH) and internal alkynes with rhenium(III) phosphine complex ReCl3(PMePh2)3 were studied, producing cationic mononuclear bi(rhenacyclopropene) complexes and η2‐alkyne complexes, respectively. The bi(rhenacyclopropene) complexes represent rare examples of well‐defined mononuclear metal complexes containing two η2‐vinyl ligands, as well as bis(dialkylcarbene) complexes of transition metals.
