Abstract
A cathode head which incorporates a grid charged negatively with respect to the filament and applicable, to multiple accelerator type tubes is described. Oscillograms show the effect of bias on the current wave-form. absorption curves in lead show an increase in “equivalent” voltage, i.e., average hardness of radiation. Their output is increased approximately 35 per cent, and focusing is made easier.
