Abstract

Introduction: The regular change of urinary catheters in long-term clients in the community is core business for Ambulatory Primary Health Care (APHC) nurses. A gap in the knowledge regarding catheter associated urinary tract infections (CAUTI) was identified by a qualitative survey and an education presentation was formulated and presented.
