Catena-Poly[[[tetraaquazinc(II)]-μ-[(2E)-N,N′-bis(pyridin-4-ylmethyl)but-2-enediamide]] dinitrate

Abstract

In the title compound, {[Zn(C16H16N4O2)(H2O)4](NO3)2}n, the bidentate ligand (2E)-N,N′-bis­(pyridin-4-yl­methyl)­but-2-enedi­amide coordinates in the axial positions of the octahedral zinc centres to form infinite one-dimensional coordination polymeric chains. In the crystal structure, O—H⋯O and N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds link these chains into a three-dimensional framework.
