Abstract
Professor A.F. Cherdantsev plays a significant role in the development of legal theory of legal interpretation (the interpretation of Law). But there are still a number of controversial issues in the theory of legal interpretation Among scientists, there is not even unity in the name of the phenomenon under consideration. The category of legal interpretation by itself is defined as legal understanding, legal knowledge, and legal interpretation. Therefore, legal science faces the task of further development the theory of the interpretation of law.
