Abstract

Dan Kaminsky was already well-respected in computer security circles. Then, one day in March, the director of penetration for security consulting firm IOActive discovered the biggest flaw in DNS for 11 years. The flaw was a fundamental design issue with DNS, which meant that it had been in the system since DNS was created in 1983.
