Abstract

1. It has been established that in the catalytic reforming of a feedstock consisting of light distillates from hydrotreating kerosine and diesel fuel cuts (reforming temperature 480°C), the naphtha yield is 86.6% by mass on feedstock, with an octane number of 78.7 by the motor method; under these same conditions with a hydrotreated straightrun naphtha as the reformer feedstock, the naphtha yield is 86.5% with an octane number of 76.0. 2. Relationships have been obtained between the light absorption in the UV region at wavelengths of 319, 335, and 380 nm and the amount of catalyst service, as well as the intensity of reactions involving consolidation and condensation to form polycyclic aromatic compounds.
