Abstract
Abstract A catalyst system for oxygenation reaction of benzene has been discussed. The catalyst system is composed of Pd and Cu species and operates in neat benzene under ambient conditions by feeding hydrogen and oxygen to the system. By selecting the reaction conditions properly, either phenol or benzoquinone is obtained as the major product.
