Abstract

Catalytic cracking of 1-butene to propene and ethene was investigated over HMCM-49 zeolite. The results indicated that proper reaction conditions could effectively suppress secondary reactions, which improved the selectivity of propene and ethene greatly. 1-Butene conversion and the total selectivity of propene and ethene as 90.82 and 51.38% were achieved at the reaction temperature of 580 C, WHSV of 9.4 h -1 , and 1-butene partial pressure of 0.1 MPa.
