Abstract

Upcycling of Plastic Waste An optimal approach for the upcycling of plastics is reported by Weipu Zhu and co-workers in article number 2210758, which permits the direct manufacture of high-value advanced materials and avoids monomer regeneration. More specifically, a novel strategy is provided for directly upcycling poly(ethylene terephthalate) waste to high-value antibacterial products. This procedure, which employs a catalytic amount of an antibacterial monomer, exhibits potential for application in the polymer industry.
