Abstract

The calalog is arranged in two parts. Part I is a listing of gamma rays and x-rays in order of increasing energy. For gamma rays, the absolute abundance of each line is given together with the parent nuclide, its half-life, and the energy and abundance of the most prominent associated gamma line from the same radioactive decay. Gamma rays with abundance down to 0.3% are included. Irrespective of abundance, a minimum of five gamma rays (where present) is listed for each nuclide. Part II is a listing by nuclide of emitted gamma rays and other properties; it also includes some information on stable nuclides which beam on radionuclide production or decay studies. Information given for radioactive nuclides includes half-life, decay mode(s) and branching ratio(s), genetic relationships, spin and parity, literature references, and gamma-ray and x-ray energies and abundances, generally with an abundance cutoff at 0.1%. The maximum number of gamma rays listed for any nuclide is 200, irrespective of the abundance cutoff. For stable nuclides, the listing includes isotopic abundances, spin and parity, and the known thermal neutral cross sections. The literature cutoff data for this catalog is June 1982.
