Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 BACKGROUND : Emergency casualty is the busiest place of every hospital and is the place of maximum deaths to occur due to various reasons- may be due to the disease itself or due to other shortcomings. In emergency casualty Road Traffic Accident cases are the commonest to be encountered-ranging from trivial abrasion to overwhelming multi organ injury. OBJECTIVE : To report different causes of deaths occurring in emergency department of UCMS TH in the year 2069 BS. To report morbidity and mortality due to Road Traffic Accident presented to emergency department of UCMS TH in the year 2069 BS. DESIGN : Retrospective observational study. SETTINGS : Emergency casualty department of UCMS TH. MATERIALS AND METHODS : Hospital records from Record Section of all admissions to the emergency casualty department of UCMS TH including Death Register were revised and all data from Baishakh 1, 2069 BS to Chaitra 30, 2069 BS were analysed retrospectively.
