Abstract

ABSTRACT Cassegrain image-tube scanner observations obtained with the Lick Observatory 305-cm telescope are presented for emission lines in the wavelength region A3797 to 4861 in NGC 6543, IC 4593, Cn 3-1, and M 1-2. Helium-to-hydrogen ratios are determined for the nebulae, and Cn 3-1 is found to have a low He+/H+ ratio (0.05). Emission-line intensities are compared with those obtained in other photoelectric and photographic studies of these planetary nebulae. Key words: planetary nebulae - abundances
